The role of a Waking Night Support Worker includes supporting people in many areas of their life from helping people with their late evening & morning routines, helping people get ready and prepared for the day ahead, providing personal care, and supporting a person during significant emotional issues.
Throughout the night you will be responsible for the well-being of the people you support, one of whom has epilepsy and needs monitoring throughout the night. It’s therefore essential that any applicants are caring, compassionate and attentive, whilst being confident in their ability to work throughout the night.
Requirements of the role
- You have a desire to work with people in a paid caring role to improve people's life.
- Be accepting of difference and able to cope with people who struggle to communicate and may rely on behaviours that are mentally challenging to you.
- You Are hard working and able to work a flexible waking night rota including weekends and bank holidays throughout the year.
- Comfortable with working throughout the night

What do we do?
We provide inclusive, innovative, and caring 24 hour support for people with Autism and learning disabilities aged 18 – 30
Do I need a driving licence?
A UK driving licence is not a requirement for this role.
Where are we based?
We have 2 services, one based in Poynton and the other in High Lane. Each service is a supported living service where 4 people who we support live.
What do our Waking Night Support Workers do?
The role of a Waking Night Support Worker includes supporting people in many areas of their life from helping people with their late evening & morning routines, helping people get ready and prepared for the day ahead, providing personal care, and supporting a person during significant emotional issues.
Throughout the night you will be responsible for the well-being of the people you support, This role may include completing some household and administrative tasks so it’s also important that this individual is comfortable completing these tasks and is able to use technology.
What hours will I work?
Night shifts are 12 hour shifts from 8pm-8am.
This is a great opportunity to build upon existing skills to support adults with learning disabilities and complex behaviour. Excellent support and on the job training provided alongside a committed and conscientious team located in Stockport.
