Overview
We are seeking a skilled Articulated Dump Truck Operator to join us at Brinklow Quarry, a busy sand and gravel quarry and recycling facility near Rugby .
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating articulated dump trucks efficiently and safely. The ideal applicant will possess a proactive attitude, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate articulated dump trucks
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after shifts, identifying any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks, including fluid checks and minor repairs, leveraging mechanical knowledge.
- Collaborate with other equipment operators, including excavator operators, to coordinate movement and loading activities.
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records as required by site management.
- Support site personnel in logistical planning and material handling as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating articulated dump trucks in a construction / quarry site
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and minor repairs.
- Experience operating excavators or other heavy plant equipment is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction operations.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and safety compliance.

Working hours:
Summer: 07:00 - 18:00 Monday - Friday
Winter: 07:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday
Saturdays: 07:00 - 13:00
