LHT Logistics Ltd is an established, family-run transport and warehousing business based in Waltham Abbey.
We are looking for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join our warehouse team on a permanent basis.
This is an important hands-on role within our operation. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles, helping to ensure freight is handled correctly and our transport operation runs to schedule.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading HGV vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
- Ensuring freight is loaded safely, securely and accurately
- Working to daily transport schedules and dispatch deadlines
- Checking loads and reporting any damage, discrepancies or issues
- Moving and positioning freight safely within the warehouse
- Supporting general warehouse operations when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working closely with our warehouse and transport teams to keep the operation running efficiently
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift qualification/licence – essential
- Previous experience loading and unloading HGV vehicles
- Good knowledge of safe loading and warehouse practices
- A strong awareness of workplace Health & Safety
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy, time-sensitive environment
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- Good communication skills and a strong team ethic
- Care and attention when handling customer freight
