Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Haverhill Golf Club. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and be dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
Main duties:
o Set up workstations, prepare ingredients (slicing, marinating), and cook items (grilling, baking, frying) according to recipes and station standards.
o Prepping various ingredients such as meats and vegetables.
· The cleanliness of all food preparation and storage areas, utensils, refrigerators, deep-freeze cabinets, cold rooms, cookers and working surfaces.
· Storing food items at appropriate temperatures.
· The serving of meals in the restaurant.
· Maintenance of the quality of the kitchen and dining room equipment and advising when additional or replacement items are required.
· Reporting to the General Manager any damage or repairs requiring attention.
· Maintaining adequate stocks of food, including the buying of supplies at competitive prices.
· Serving food and drinks to customers and employees.
Other duties:
- Serving of correct drinks and other beverages are supplied on request by members and visitors.
- prices charged are in line with the prices as displayed in the bar and that these are correctly entered in the till and the correct change, if any, is given.
- all hygiene regulations are conformed to and failings in this area are reported to the General Manager.
- Ensure the accuracy of all floats by checking them and reporting irregularities.
- To carry out fire duties as necessary.

In addition to your normal duties, you may be required to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
*Requirements*
- Proven experience working as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation, presentation, and flavour combinations
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
Job Type: Part-time (24 - 30 hours a week) with overtime if needed
