We are looking for an experienced and motivated Care Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our domiciliary care service in Wisbech.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has management experience within domiciliary care and is looking to further develop their career. You will play a key role in leading the service, supporting staff, maintaining compliance, and ensuring outstanding person-centred care is delivered to people in their own homes.
We support predominantly older adults, including people living with dementia, as well as individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
There is a genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to progress to a Registered Manager position in the future as the service continues to develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the domiciliary care service.
- Lead, supervise and support Care Coordinators, Field Supervisors and Care Assistants.
- Ensure safe, effective and person-centred care is delivered at all times.
- Complete and review care plans, risk assessments and support plans.
- Carry out supervisions, competency assessments and staff appraisals.
- Monitor quality through audits, spot checks and service reviews.
- Support safeguarding investigations, incident management and complaints.
- Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, company policies and best practice.
- Work closely with clients, families, healthcare professionals and local authority commissioners.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
- Contribute to the continued growth and improvement of the service.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Care Manager, Deputy Manager or Deputy Registered Manager within a domiciliary care service.
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.
- Willing to work towards, or already hold, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and person-centred care.
- Experience completing care plans, risk assessments, supervisions and competency assessments.
- Experience leading and managing care staff.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
- Experience supporting people living with dementia, learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
- Experience in quality assurance, audits and service improvement.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and local authorities.
