Job Summary
As Chef De Partie at Roos Cardiff will be expected to have the ability to run your section with confidence,whether this is the grill, pasta section, or pastry. This role will require working with our head chef and dedicated kitchen team to create all food to our standards as well as executing any other tasks required. We are a seasonal restaurant, so the menu changes often, and we need a chef that can keep up to the pace of our kitchen, as well as keeping calm and performing their tasks and duties to the best of their abilities.
Duties
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality across your designated section
- Oversee daily kitchen operations within your station, managing ingredients, tools, and equipment efficiently
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation and timely service during busy periods
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff
- Monitor inventory levels within your section, notifying management of stock needs or shortages
- Ensure proper presentation of dishes before they are served, maintaining visual appeal and portion control
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, only within a restaurant environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Hands-on experience with various culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to serve efficiently under pressure
Pay: £14.00 per hour
