Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant to join our team at Daforza Distribution, owners of the Wisper Electric Bikes brand. In this role, you will be responsible for dealing with trade clients, managing credit accounts, ensuring timely collections, and supporting the overall efficiency of our accounts department. Your energetic approach will help maintain healthy cash flow, foster positive client relationships, and uphold accurate financial records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a fast-paced environment that values precision and teamwork. In addition, you will undertake customer support queries, dealing with warranty claims and processing orders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage customer credit accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve overdue balances
- Contact clients via phone, email, or written correspondence to chase outstanding invoices and negotiate payment plans when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions using accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring all supplier invoices are correctly entered and paid promptly
- Reconcile customer accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues efficiently
- Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing reports on outstanding receivables and aged debt analysis
- Support the finance team with general accounting tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management
Skills
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and credit control procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients and internal teams
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record keeping
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations
- Familiarity with Excel or other spreadsheet tools for data analysis and reporting

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
