Our client, a well-established Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle main dealer in Nottingham, is actively recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join their busy workshop team. Duties:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections in line with DVSA and manufacturer guidelines
- Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and ensuring compliance
- Completing detailed job cards and workshop documentation accurately
- Attending manufacturer training courses for ongoing skill enhancement
- Ensuring all work is carried out to high standards of workmanship and safety
- Collaborating with team members to meet workshop productivity targets
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI, BTEC, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience working in a Commercial Vehicle workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-motivated work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- IRTEC accreditation (desirable but not essential)
- Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence (beneficial but not essential)
