Job Summary
The Assistant Restoration Technician supports the restoration team in responding to fire, flood, water, smoke, and mould damage incidents. This role involves assisting with emergency mitigation, property cleanup, equipment setup and restoration activities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service. The Assistant Technician works closely with senior technicians to help restore residential and commercial properties to pre-loss condition.
Responsibilities
- Assist with water extraction, structural drying, dehumidification, and moisture monitoring.
- Support fire and smoke damage cleanup, including debris removal, soot cleaning, and odor control.
- Help set up, monitor, and remove drying and restoration equipment.
- Removal of damaged building materials as directed.
- Clean, sanitise, and restore affected areas using company-approved procedures and equipment.
- Assist with contents cleaning, packing, and storage services.
- Document job site activities through photographs, notes, and moisture readings.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Participate in after-hours service requests when required.

For the right candidate, the role would be for a permanent contract, with a 3 month probationary period.
