Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Luton Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational ability, and a commitment to customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a luton van for multiple deliveries across various locations in the SY & LD and surrounding areas
- Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to ensure punctuality and efficiency
- Load and unload goods, safely using pump trucks when necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or unforeseen delays
- Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a commercial or warehouse environment
- Valid driver’s licence preferably with a clean driving record
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries within tight schedules
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations desirable
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
