Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Pizza Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Duties
- Assist in preparing pizza dough, toppings, and ingredients according to company recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by operating pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations
- Help with food assembly, including topping pizzas uniformly and ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Follow food safety protocols at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Support senior chefs during busy periods by preparing ingredients or performing basic cooking tasks
- Participate in cleaning schedules to ensure the kitchen remains hygienic and well-maintained
- Learn about portion control, ingredient management, and efficient workflow within a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Prior experience in a kitchen setting or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
