The Role
Keep our Knowsley feed-mill running safely and efficiently by delivering both planned maintenance and reactive repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
This is a hands-on role ideal for engineers from farming, recycling, or heavy plant backgrounds.
Key responsibilities:
- Routine inspections, lubrication, and condition monitoring
- Fault-finding and repair of motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and 3-phase systems
- Troubleshooting control panels, sensors, drives, and wiring
- Supporting improvement projects and reducing downtime
- Participating in 1-in-3 on-call Rota (supplementary allowance paid)
Must-haves:
- Hands-on maintenance experience in agriculture, recycling, or industrial manufacturing
- Able to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Clear spoken and written English – you’ll work with permits, logs, and H&S documentation
- Already eligible to work in the UK – we cannot sponsor visas
Nice-to-haves:
- IOSH Working Safely or similar H&S training (we can provide)
- Background in feed mills, animal processing, or heavy plant
- FLT or telehandler license
What You’ll Get
