Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying, project managing and installing a variety of signage for commercial and industrial clients.
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark areas for sign installation with precision, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
- Install signs on various surfaces including walls, poles, and buildings using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read technical drawings and specifications to understand installation requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively during installations.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met within deadlines.
- Have experience with installing vinyl graphics.
Skills
- Proven experience in sign fitting or related manual installation roles is preferred.
- Strong manual dexterity with good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Physical fitness to handle lifting, climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in various weather conditions.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting materials between sites.
