Summary:
Due to exceptional growth Groundline are seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to to join a newly created team within the UK.
The successful candidate will produce technically robust and compliant LV and HV electrical network designs that support the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of utility infrastructure projects. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and ambitious person to join at a prime time. As the team forms, opportunities are unlimited. Success in this position opens many doors, including the potential future opportunity for a role as a Design Manager or Head of Engineering.

Main Duties:
-
Design LV and HV electrical distribution networks for residential, commercial and industrial developments in accordance with relevant standards
- Produce electrical calculations, network schematics, drawings and supporting technical documentation.
- Effectively liaise with utility providers, customers, project managers and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Submit designs for approval and manage technical queries through to acceptance.
- Ensure project designs are delivered to programme, budget and quality requirements.
- Maintain a minimum 80% chargeable and billable utilisation, supporting delivery where required to maintain programme certainty, protect budgets, and assist others in achieving delivery targets
Qualifications & Experience
- HNC/HND or Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (Essential)
- Professional Registration (IEng or working towards) (Desirable)
- ·G81 and DNO accreditation knowledge (Desirable) ·Experience designing LV and HV electrical distribution networks. (Essential)
- Experience within an ICP, IDNO, DNO, utility contractor or consultancy environment. (Essential)
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, substations and cable networks. (Essential)
- Knowledge of DNO and IDNO approval processes. (Essential)
- Experience producing technical calculations, reports and design packages. (Essential)
- Understanding of relevant ENA, G81 and industry standards. (Essential)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively. (Essential)
