Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and other procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization and hygiene standards are met
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout treatments
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, including updating treatment notes and scheduling appointments
- Support infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment for patients and staff
- Coordinate with the reception team to manage appointment schedules efficiently and ensure timely patient flow
- Communicate clearly with patients in English to provide instructions for post-treatment care and follow-up appointments
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a qualified dental nurse or similar role in a healthcare setting
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Knowledge of nursing practices within dental environments and familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinic setting
- Outstanding communication skills to liaise confidently with patients and team members
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while maintaining attention to detail
