Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Waiter to join our esteemed hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant service, demonstrating excellent guest relations and a thorough understanding of food safety and presentation. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise revenue
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Assist in the organisation of dining areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for service
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and dietary options to advise guests appropriately
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Support junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and mentorship
- Handle guest enquiries or complaints promptly to uphold the establishment’s reputation for excellent service
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service, with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation processes
- Previous experience in a culinary environment or kitchen setting is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with effective time management abilities
- Good numeracy skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Exceptional communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Basic understanding of upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and sales potential
