Imaging Support Worker – Join Our Growing Team
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable individual to join our Imaging team, working within our maternity ultrasound department.
In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in supporting high‑quality patient care. You will be responsible for preparing patients for their scans, ensuring they feel informed, reassured, and comfortable throughout their visit. Maintaining a safe, organised environment will be central to your work, along with assisting the clinical team to deliver an excellent experience for every patient.
You will work closely with sonographers and the wider multidisciplinary team, contributing to smooth patient pathways and helping uphold the highest standards within our Imaging service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about patient care and keen to develop their skills. Care Certificate training is available, making this a great entry point into a career within healthcare or imaging services.

The post holder will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by chaperoning scans and ensuring a positive patient experience throughout their journey. They will be responsible for maintaining patient safety, comfort, and dignity before, during and after procedures, with particular attention to individual needs such as oxygen requirements. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses, the role includes assisting with clinical procedures where appropriate, monitoring and reporting any changes in a patient’s condition, and accurately recording observations and care provided.
The individual will adhere to infection prevention and control policies to minimise risks and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. They will keep up to date with Trust and local policies and contribute to the smooth running of the department by participating in team meetings, undertaking stock rotation, and carrying out deep cleaning duties. The role also involves identifying and reporting faulty equipment, raising clinical incident reports when required, and supporting the development of junior staff through a professional and proactive approach.
