We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join our Business Services team, supporting both our Helpdesk and Purchasing functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across key areas of the business while starting your career in administration.
The Role
As a Business Admin Apprentice within our Business Services department, you will support the smooth running of our operations by assisting both the Helpdesk and Purchasing teams.
This varied role will give you insight into how we manage client requests, coordinate services, and ensure our sites are fully equipped with the supplies they need. You’ll develop practical skills in administration, communication, and internal coordination, while working as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Helpdesk Support:
- Handling inbound and outbound calls and emails
- Logging and responding to client and site queries
- Supporting day-to-day Helpdesk operations
Purchasing Support:
- Assisting with ordering consumables and equipment
- Updating purchase records and tracking orders
- Liaising with suppliers and internal teams
General Administration:
- Scanning, filing, and maintaining accurate records
- Preparing and distributing site documentation
- Data entry and updating internal systems
- Assisting with reports and document preparation
- Managing incoming and outgoing post (including franking)
- Providing support across other departments when required
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience:
- Confident using computers and Microsoft Office (or similar)
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional and friendly telephone manner
Personal Qualities:
- Eager to learn and develop
- Positive, proactive attitude
- Calm and reliable in a busy environment
- Confident communicator with good written and numerical skills
- A team player who enjoys supporting others
Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) preferred
