We're looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen in our welcoming village pub. We take pride in serving fresh, homemade food in a relaxed setting, with our traditional Sunday roasts being the highlight of the week.
This is a hands-on role for a passionate chef who enjoys creating quality dishes from fresh ingredients, maintaining high standards, and working as part of a close-knit team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality food.
- Delivering outstanding Sunday roasts and seasonal menus.
- Managing stock, ordering, and food cost control.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Supporting and motivating a small kitchen team.
- Ensuring consistency and quality across every service.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience working as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fresh food environment.
- A genuine passion for cooking with fresh, quality ingredients.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- The ability to remain calm and efficient during busy services.
- Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team where everyone contributes.
- A reliable and flexible approach to work.
- The ability to commute reliably to our village location.
