Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with proven leadership skills to manage a team effectively. This role requires excellent communication abilities to engage with children, parents, and staff, ensuring a nurturing and educational environment for all.
Duties
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Develop and implement educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication.
- Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development.
- Organise activities that stimulate learning through play and exploration.
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all children.
- Handle administrative tasks including budgeting, staffing, and maintaining nursery policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery’s educational offerings.
- Previous experience in a nursery setting is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare is preferred.
