Little Peek is an independent, CQC-registered, Midwife Sonographer-led ultrasound clinic in the heart of Colchester.
We specialise in providing high-quality private ultrasound services for women and families, offering both non-diagnostic pregnancy scans and women's health ultrasound in a calm, welcoming and clinically safe environment.
Our services include early reassurance, gender, growth and wellbeing scans, 4D ultrasound, NIPT, pelvic health ultrasound and fertility ultrasound.

As our clinic continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Midwife Sonographer who shares our values and takes pride in delivering exceptional care.
This role is perfect for someone looking to complement their current NHS position with one to two days per week in a friendly private clinic where there is time to build meaningful relationships with women and their families while maintaining the highest clinical standards.
The role
You'll perform a range of ultrasound examinations including:
- Early pregnancy reassurance scans
- Gender scans
- Growth and wellbeing scans
- 4D ultrasound
- NIPT
- Women's pelvic health ultrasound
- Fertility ultrasound, including baseline and follicular monitoring scans
You'll also undertake venepuncture for NIPT and women's health blood testing services whilst providing an outstanding experience for every client who visits the clinic.
Essential requirements
- Registered Midwife with current NMC registration
- UK postgraduate CASE-accredited qualification in Obstetric & Gynaecological Ultrasound
- Significant NHS experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound
- Confident and competent in venepuncture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to outstanding clinical practice and client care
