Wye Valley Brewery is an independent family brewery located in Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire. Due to increased production demands we are now seeking to hire an additional brewery operative based across the fermentation, cask/keg/bottle/can filling lines and warehouse.
The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with excellent time keeping. You will preferably have experience gained in a manufacturing background ideally with a food or beverage company. You will have an awareness of working to strict quality and health & safety standards. A current fork-lift truck license would be a definite advantage. A degree of physical fitness will be required as the role involves repetitive lifting of 10 and 20kg casks.
The job will be based in one of the filling lines and will involve carrying out a range of duties including: - cask and keg washing, inspection, filling, robot operation, fork lift driving and computer system data entry. Fermentation area tasks to include, fermentation checks, yeast handling, beer transfer, vessel cleaning.
Packaging tasks to include filtration, operation of automated packaging lines and fork lift duties.
Warehouse tasks to include goods in/out, stock control, customer collections, ensuring enough stock set out for our own transport deliveries and stock management on computer based system. There will be general housekeeping tasks across all areas. The successful candidate will be given full training.
Hours: The contracted hours for this role will be 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. This will be day shift with various start times rotating on a weekly basis. It is essential there is a flexible approach to working patterns.
Due to the nature of the business there will also be a requirement to work some bank holidays and weekends.
Benefits: Starting rate £13.45 per hour to increase when fully trained. We also offer a company pension scheme and a profit related bonus scheme.
Due to our rural location applicants must have their own transport.
