Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Product Manager to lead the development and management of innovative software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product management, software development, and project coordination, with the ability to bridge technical teams and business stakeholders effectively. Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with organisational objectives.
- Gather and analyse requirements from stakeholders, translating them into detailed specifications for development teams.
- Manage the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using project management tools such as Jira, TFS, and Microsoft Project to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Lead Agile practices including SAFe frameworks; facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Develop wireframes and prototypes using Balsamiq or UML diagrams to visualise product features for stakeholder approval.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) processes to validate functionality against requirements before release.
- Coordinate with developers using Git for version control and APIs integration for seamless system interoperability.
- Utilise SQL and other database tools to support data analysis and reporting needs.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders through presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint or Excel reports.
- Monitor market trends such as SaaS solutions, IoT developments, and B2B sales opportunities to inform product enhancements.
- Lead product launches by managing documentation, training materials, and stakeholder communications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in product management within a software development environment; familiarity with SDLC methodologies including Waterfall.
- Strong understanding of programming languages such as Java, HTML, and APIs integration.
- Experience with project management software like Jira, TFS, or similar tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of UML modelling techniques and wireframing tools like Balsamiq or B2C frameworks such as SaaS platforms.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS; understanding of IoT applications is advantageous.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to gather detailed requirements and develop comprehensive test cases for user acceptance testing.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities coupled with effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as SAFe; experience managing projects within a B2B context is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment.

Pay: £38,500.00 per year
