We are seeking a highly motivated ONESOURCE Senior Technical Implementation Consultant, ERP with 5+ years of experience implementing SAP and/or financial add-ons for SAP. The ERP Implementation Consultant will work closely with ONESOURCE Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts to implement ONESOURCE Indirect Tax software.
In this role, you will provide customers with domain expertise when implementing tax scenarios and integrating ONESOURCE Indirect Tax solutions with SAP applications, including ERP, eCommerce, and POS systems. As an Implementation Consultant, you will work with a project team to gather and define business requirements and convert them into robust, flexible solutions.
This position is unique because you will be exposed to customers across a wide range of industries, business requirements, and operational models.
About the Role
As a Senior Technical Implementation Consultant, you will:
- Develop complex Object-Oriented ABAP objects independently.
- Clearly articulate solutions and implementation processes to customers.
- Lead business and user requirements sessions and translate findings into design and solution documentation for integration.
- Assist in the analysis and delivery of SAP integration implementations that reflect an in-depth understanding of the client's tax requirements and compliance processes.
- Engage with other Thomson Reuters teams, as appropriate, to deliver end-to-end Indirect Tax integration solutions.
- Ensure all Indirect Tax-related requirements are met.
- Explain ONESOURCE Integration for SAP-related issues, problems, and solutions to non-tax and non-technical staff.
- Work with clients to translate their tax policies into ONESOURCE integration solutions.
- Install and configure ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP.
- Execute assigned work within a controlled project management environment.
- Work with Pre-Sales teams on prospect support and bid development.
- Collaborate with functional and technical colleagues to deliver successful implementations.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Senior Technical Implementation Consultant if your background includes:
- 5+ years of work experience, with at least 3 years working with SAP.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Technical experience implementing SAP and/or SAP add-on solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues caused when multiple add-ons are installed.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting and resolving SAP system issues.
- Experience with process analysis, design, mapping, and re-engineering.
- Experience with process/software gap analysis and resolution.
- Experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
- Hands-on experience working within SAP applications.
- ABAP programming capabilities.
- Knowledge of APIs, web services — SOAP and REST — and XML.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
- Experience configuring transaction taxes, e-invoicing, and related master data within SAP.
- Experience integrating third-party enterprise tax products, such as ONESOURCE Determination, ONESOURCE Compliance, Avalara, Sovos, CCH, Sabrix, Taxware, and/or Vertex.
- Financial work experience or a related degree.
- Ability to write or modify existing integration software and integrate software applications and modules in accordance with agreed-upon specifications created in partnership with others.
- Ability to create and execute unit testing to ensure software meets requirements.
- Object-Oriented Programming experience.
- SAP Certification.
- Fluency in German, Spanish, or French.
- Higher education degree or diploma preferred, ideally in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
