Associate Physiotherapist
Location: Ashford, Kent
Rate: £50–£70 per hour plus paid travel time and mileage
Hours: Flexible, to be agreed around the client’s needs and therapist availability
Contract: Associate contract, with the potential for further work
KT Healthcare is a family-run organisation providing assessment and therapeutic services across the Neurodevelopmental, Brain Injury and Complex Care sectors. Our team of clinicians work on a sub-contracting basis – they are highly specialist and deliver high-quality assessments, reports, and therapy sessions within a multidisciplinary team.
We’re looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to support an adult client in Ashford, Kent with complex physical rehabilitation needs.
The client has a tracheostomy and requires suctioning, alongside significant physical impairments affecting their mobility, positioning and ability to participate in functional activities.
Key areas identified include:
- Risk of aspiration
- Fair sitting balance
- Unable to stand without support
- Unable to weight bear independently
- Equinovarus alignment and limited range of movement in the right ankle
- Limited trunk and pelvic mobility
- Weakness around the shoulder joint
- Risk of self-decannulation
The role will involve assessment and ongoing physiotherapy intervention focused on maintaining and improving physical function, mobility, positioning, range of movement, strength and safe participation in functional activities.
Due to the complexity of the client’s presentation, we are looking for a therapist with strong experience in complex rehabilitation, neurological physiotherapy or working with adults with significant physical disabilities. Experience working alongside clients with tracheostomies and complex respiratory needs would be highly desirable.
