Overview
We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Dishwasher. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly cleaned and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for supporting a smooth-running hospitality operation.
Duties
- Responsible for washing, rinsing, and sanitising dishes, cutlery, cookware, and kitchen utensils efficiently
- Organise clean items in designated storage areas to ensure easy access for staff
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, including organising ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Support the kitchen team with general cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during cleaning processes
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure equipment is in good working order
- Collaborate with restaurant or hotel staff to meet service demands promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to assist with other kitchen tasks such as basic food prep or serving when needed
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required
