Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled CPCS / NPORS 360 excavator operator on a 14t machine to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a 360-degree excavator to perform a variety of earthmoving tasks essential for the successful completion of construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure efficient site preparation, excavation, and material handling, contributing to the overall progress and safety of our operations. Duties
- Operate a 360-degree excavator safely and efficiently across various construction sites, ensuring precise control during excavation, loading, and material movement
- Conduct routine inspections of the excavator to identify maintenance needs and ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site setup, including digging trenches, foundations, and grading to specifications provided by project managers or engineers
- Coordinate with team members to execute tasks smoothly, maintaining clear communication on progress and safety protocols
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment at all times
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts
- Support other site activities as needed, including assisting with auxiliary machinery or manual labor tasks
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of excavators and related heavy machinery for troubleshooting and basic maintenance
- Proven experience operating a 360-degree excavator in a construction environment
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) or equivalent certification for operating heavy equipment on public roads if required by local regulations
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to maneuver equipment precisely in confined or complex spaces
- Ability to understand technical instructions, blueprints, and site plans clearly
- Commitment to safety standards with a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
