Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Electrical Engineering.

Plan and prepare engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements and learner needs.

Support, motivate and monitor student progress and achievement.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment outcomes.

Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement activities.

Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Participate in course reviews, team meetings and professional development activities.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance the student experience.
Essential Criteria

Relevant qualifications and/or substantial industry experience in Electrical Engineering.

Strong technical knowledge within the Electrical Engineering sector.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to engage, motivate and support learners from a range of backgrounds.

Commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuous professional development.

A willingness to work towards and achieve a recognised teaching qualification if not already held.

Additional Information
Teaching Qualifications: Applicants are not required to hold a teaching qualification at the point of appointment. However, they must be willing to work towards and achieve a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification within the first 18 months of employment. This qualification must then be maintained through ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD). At DN Colleges Group, a recognised teaching qualification is defined as Level 5 or above.
