Remuneration: £28,800 Basic per annum (OTE up to £36,000 including overtime, call-out allowances, and out-of-hours enhancements)
Shift Pattern: Rotating 24/7 roster (Early, Late, and On-Call Night Shift)

· Jet Assist Ltd: Premium Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) and dedicated handling agent delivering end-to-end ground support for VIP, corporate, and aeromedical aviation at Belfast International Airport and Belfast City Airport.
· 247 Aviation Ltd: Specialist Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holder delivering dedicated 24/7 aeromedical evacuation, critical organ transplant logistics, and bespoke private charter operations across the UK, Europe, and beyond.
· 247 Aircraft Maintenance Ltd: Our newly launching Part 145 maintenance organisation based at Belfast International Airport, delivering comprehensive Base and Line maintenance, AOG support, and engineering solutions for executive and business aircraft.
The Opportunity
As our aviation group continues to grow and we secure significant new long-term contracts across our handling, aeromedical, and engineering divisions, Jet Assist is expanding its operational workforce. We are recruiting Operations Assistants to join our team at the Business Jet Centre.
This role combines desk-based flight watch, flight planning coordination, and client liaison with active airside ramp handling on the business aviation apron.
Key Responsibilities
Flight Operations & Coordination
· Maintain an active flight watch across all scheduled, live, and ad-hoc VIP, medical, and corporate aircraft movements.
· Monitor air traffic slot allocations and flow management via Eurocontrol (CFMU / NMOC).
· Interpret and brief aviation weather reports and regulatory notices (METARs, TAFs, NOTAMs, SNOWTAMs).
· Process prior permission required (PPR) requests, handling confirmations, into-plane fuel orders, and bespoke in-flight catering.
· Maintain the live operations board, flight logs, and billing documentation with high accuracy.
Ramp & Ground Handling Operations
· Marshall arriving and departing aircraft safely on the business aviation apron.
· Operate ground support equipment (GSE), towing equipment, and airside service vehicles in strict accordance with safety SOPs.
· Deliver turnkey aircraft turnaround services, including baggage handling, into-plane fuelling support, potable water servicing, toilet servicing, and cabin valeting.
· Coordinate VIP passenger, aeromedical team, and flight crew handling, facilitating smooth customs/border clearance and executive lounge hospitality.
Candidate Profile
Essential Criteria
· Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade C / 4 or above) including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
· Full, valid UK/EU driving licence with a maximum of six (6) active penalty points and no active driving bans/disqualifications (subject to company insurance approval and eligibility to obtain an airport Airside Driving Permit).
· Physical capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform manual handling tasks (baggage loading, GSE hookup).
· Proven track record in professional customer service with strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient in standard IT systems (spreadsheets, word processing, email, and dispatch software).
· High standard of safety awareness, composure under pressure, and collaborative teamwork.
· Clear criminal record check (AccessNI / Basic DBS) and a fully verifiable 5-year employment/education history to secure an airside security pass.
· Full flexibility to work rotating 24/7 shift rosters, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and on-call periods.
Desirable Criteria
· Previous experience within an airside, FBO, ground-handling, or airline operations environment.
· Familiarity with operational flight management software, CFMU/NOP systems, or apron GSE operations.
· Practical understanding of UK CAA / EASA operational and airside security regulations.
