Job Description - Bank Care Assistant
This job is specific to sit with a lady who is on a ventilator, this would be for between 6 hours and 8 hours a night for between 3-4 nights a week. This is a bank job and it will be for a short term until the resident no longer needs it.
Responsible to: Manager/*Deputy Manager/*Trained staff/Senior Care Assistant
Purpose: To care for the service users in a manner, which respects their dignity and privacy and promotes their independence.
Main Responsibilities
To comply with the homes Health and Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health Regulations.
To attend and contribute to staff meetings when required
To maintain confidentiality on all aspects of care and your work within the home.
To have a working knowledge of the home’s policies and procedures in respect to your job and responsibilities especially in relation to the safe guarding of service users..
Helping the service user with physical activities. This could involve talking to them and helping them with the fitting of the ventilator mask and keeping an eye on them and the ventilator
Care at end of life.
Assist with serving meals and other domestic duties you are qualified to undertake.
Ensure care notes and any other form of written report that affects your work are read and kept up-to-date.
Take part in staff meetings and internal and external training as required.
Attend mandatory training as required.
