Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct prescriptions in a timely manner. You will play a vital role in patient care by providing support and guidance regarding medication usage and safety.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist pharmacists in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical products.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries related to medications and health products.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and patient interactions.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management.
Skills
- Proficiency in medication administration practices.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable.
- Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and processes is advantageous.
