Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team during daytime shifts. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to residents in a care home environment or through home care services. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering personalised care with professionalism and empathy. The Care Assistant will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring the wellbeing of those in their care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with individual care plans
- Support mobility and encourage participation in activities to promote independence and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, following organisational procedures
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure holistic support
- Follow health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for all
- Support with domestic tasks including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Use IT systems to update care records and report any concerns promptly
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently
- Ability to work as part of a team whilst also demonstrating initiative and independence
- Good IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and using organisational systems
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care visits
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
