Teaching Assistant SEN School
32.5 hours per week, September Start, temp-to-perm position
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school from September on a full-time basis. This welcoming and well-resourced school supports children and young people aged 219 years with a range of complex needs, including:
- Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with highly individualised learning needs. You will:
- Assist in delivering tailored learning and care plans
- Support students with communication, sensory, and personal care needs
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
What Were Looking For
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEN, PMLD, or SLD(essential)
- Passionate about working with children with additional needs
- Reliable, caring, and patient
- Strong team players with a positive attitude
- Available full-time from September
- Hold a valid clear DBS on the update service, or are willing to obtain one prior to starting

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
