Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Front of House/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant environment where hospitality and culinary skills are valued. The successful candidate will support both front-of-house operations and kitchen functions, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests and efficient food preparation. Prior experience in catering, restaurant service, or food preparation is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service at the front of house
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a professional manner
- Assist with meal preparation and food presentation under the guidance of senior staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
- Support with basic cooking tasks, including assembling dishes and preparing ingredients
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently to uphold hygiene standards
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as required
- Help in setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant service, or kitchen environments is advantageous but not mandatory
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients is preferred
- Experience in meal or food preparation, including basic cooking skills, is desirable
- Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service best practices will be beneficial
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the hospitality industry
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
