Event Sales Assistant (Pop Ups)
The Event Sales Assistant role is a people-focused position supporting nationally recognised charity campaigns through live events, pop-up activations, community campaigns, and business outreach.
You’ll represent charity initiatives in busy public environments, engaging people in meaningful conversations that raise awareness and convert interest into long-term support. This role suits an individual who enjoys face-to-face interaction, thrive in energetic environments, and are comfortable guiding conversations toward clear outcomes.
No previous sales or events experience is required. Full training and ongoing coaching are provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Event Sales Assistant, your work will centre around public-facing campaigns with clear objectives.
You’ll represent charity initiatives at events, pop-up retail locations, shopping centres, and other high-footfall venues. Your role will involve starting conversations with members of the public, explaining the charity’s mission, values, and real-world impact, and showing how public support directly funds essential services, care programmes, awareness initiatives, and life-changing experiences.
Beyond awareness, you’ll explain how individuals can actively support the charity, including regular giving options, and guide interested supporters through the registration process in a transparent, ethical, and fully compliant way. You’ll ensure contribution details, commitments, and supporter rights are clearly communicated.
You will also explain how ongoing support helps sustain long-term care services and community programmes, answering questions honestly, and accurately recording supporter information using digital systems.
Your main Day-to-Day Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Attending campaign briefings and training sessions
- Working as part of a supportive team across Brighton and surrounding areas
- Communicating confidently and professionally with a wide range of people
- Following fundraising compliance, safeguarding, and ethical guidelines
- Completing accurate reporting and supporter documentation
- Representing charity campaigns and the company with integrity
Training & Progression
This role includes structured onboarding, hands-on coaching, and ongoing development. Strong performers can progress into senior event roles, team leadership, campaign supervision, and training positions.
