We have recently taken over the Old Bakery Restaurant in Kingsbridge which is currently undergoing a full refurbishment with an aim to reopen towards the end of September.
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help develop a new exciting menu . Working closely with the hands on ownership, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management to ensure the delivery of exceptional dishes that delight our guests. Your leadership will inspire creativity, uphold food safety standards, and foster a vibrant kitchen environment where excellence thrives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring high-quality preparation and presentation of all menu items.
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality standards.
- Manage food safety protocols rigorously, ensuring compliance with health regulations and cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure fresh ingredients and manage inventory efficiently to minimize waste.
- Train team members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and customer service standards to foster professional growth.
- Maintain a lively, organized kitchen environment that promotes teamwork, efficiency, and high morale.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Previous restaurant experience with a focus on delivering excellent service and quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Passion for hospitality, creativity in menu development, and commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences.
Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
