Grovely Pets are Specialists in Pet Nutrition & Healthcare and have built a strong reputation for the qualified nutritional advice they give to discerning pet owners. We offer a large and varied range of natural healthy feeds and treats which are not found on the highstreet.
This store is very busy and successful; and is growing alongside an exceptionally busy online business which is also serviced from this store currently. This role will be a busy but a rewarding opportunity for the right person who is looking to develop themselves in a Management Role within the retail and in particular the Pet industry.
Reporting to our Area Manager, we are looking for someone who has extensive Retail experience, can manage a team, with a friendly, bubbly and outgoing personality. You must have exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills to deal with the general public and lead your team.
We are a family, and we look after each other, therefore you must be a team player, willing to work in a busy environment and able to multitask. You must have a passion for animals in particular dogs and be able to handle them too.
You will need to be physically fit and able to lift heavy bags of dog food up on a regular basis up to 20kgs.
Your role will include - but not limited to the following:
- managing staff and the working weekly rota,
- placing orders and receiving stock,
- managment of the online and instore deliveries
Communication and literacy skills are essential . You must be smart, keep prompt timings and it will help if you have knowledge of pet nutrition or be willing to undertake our strict training programme.
A full driving license and car are essential as you may be required to cover in one of our other stores.
Additional training will be given, but will require studying in your own time with online exams. You must be competent on a modern EPOS system and be IT literate.
You must be aged 21 or older with a full drivers license (manual)
