This role helps people in a rehabilitation setting by supporting their recovery and promoting independence every day.
You’ll work as part of a caring, multi‑disciplinary team to deliver high quality, person-centred care. As a Senior Health Care Assistant, you will support both patients and colleagues, helping ensure safe, effective care and smooth day-to-day service delivery. You’ll also take a lead role in guiding and supporting other care staff.
What you’ll do:
Support patients with daily care, rehabilitation and comfort needs
Lead and supervise a team of health care assistants
Monitor and update care plans, risk assessments and patient records
Support admissions and discharges, ensuring a safe transition of care
Promote safeguarding and safe medication practices
What we’re looking for:
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience
Experience working in a care setting, including supporting teams
Good communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of care planning, safeguarding and basic clinical tasks
A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and nights
