In-Person Private Tutor – Barnet & Surrounding Areas

GoodGrade Tutors is expanding its in-person tutoring network across Barnet, Finchley, Mill Hill, Edgware and surrounding North London areas. We are looking for academically outstanding tutors to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition to students locally.
This is a flexible opportunity that can fit around your studies, career or other commitments. You choose your availability and which tutoring opportunities you accept, while GoodGrade handles finding and matching you with suitable students.
What you'll do
- Deliver high-quality, one-to-one, in-person tuition
- Tutor subjects and levels that match your academic expertise
- Support students from primary level through to GCSE and A-Level, depending on your experience
- Tailor lessons to each student's ability, curriculum and academic goals
- Help students improve their subject knowledge, confidence and exam technique
- Provide reliable, professional and engaging tuition

Who we're looking for
Applicants must be currently studying at, or have graduated from, a Russell Group university.
We're particularly interested in candidates with strong academic backgrounds in Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics and other commonly tutored subjects.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience is desirable, but exceptional candidates without formal tutoring experience are also encouraged to apply.
You should:
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Be able to explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently
- Be reliable, personable and professional
- Be comfortable travelling locally for in-person lessons
- Have strong communication skills
- Be committed to helping students achieve excellent academic outcomes
Location
There is no requirement to report to a GoodGrade office. Tutors are matched with students across Barnet, Finchley, Mill Hill, Edgware and surrounding areas and can choose opportunities based on their location, availability and willingness to travel.
Pay
£30–£42 per hour, depending on the tutoring assignment and applicable rate.
