Experienced MIG Welders – D-Wall Production
We have secured long-term contracts and are expanding our manufacturing team in Ilkeston.
We are looking for experienced MIG Welders to fabricate and assemble D-walls.
This is physically demanding, hands-on work involving large and heavy steel structures in a busy production environment.
Pay and bonus
The hourly rate is £15.15–£18.00, depending on experience and demonstrated welding ability.
You can also earn an additional production bonus for helping the team meet agreed quality and production targets.
Main duties
- MIG welding D-wall reinforcement cages
- Fabricating and assembling large steel wall sections
- Reading and following technical drawings
- Measuring, positioning and securing reinforcement steel
- Using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment
- Inspecting welds and completed sections
- Working safely with large, heavy materials
- Meeting required quality and production targets
What we’re looking for
- Previous MIG welding and fabrication experience
- Ability to produce strong, consistent welds
- Confidence working from technical drawings
- Good attendance, reliability and timekeeping
- Strong work ethic and team-focused attitude
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work safely
- Experience building reinforcement cages is desirable but not essential
