Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Person to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent service to customers, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere within the bar area. This role offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about hospitality and delivering memorable customer experiences. Prior experience in a similar setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing regulations
- Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operation
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times, ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Assist in setting up for special events or promotions as required
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service environments is desirable, particularly within a bar or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing regulations is advantageous
- Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer care and communication
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and giving correct change
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A friendly demeanour with good organisational skills and professionalism
