Tailored Futures CIC supports people with lived experience of the criminal justice system to rebuild their lives and successfully reintegrate into society. We provide practical support across employment, education, training, housing and personal development, working closely with probation services, prisons, employers and community partners.
Our digital platform, ReintegrateME, connects people with criminal records to inclusive employers, training providers, and support services. It is designed to remove employment barriers and promote fair opportunities in the job market.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Operations and Business Manager to take responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of our operations, staff and business functions.
This is a hands-on management role combining people leadership, operational oversight and business development. You will ensure our services run effectively, staff are well managed and supported, performance and compliance standards are maintained, and our internal systems are strong enough to support continued organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line manage staff, including supervision, appraisals, performance management and development.
- Oversee day-to-day service delivery, staffing, workloads and operational priorities.
- Monitor KPIs, outcomes, data quality and contractual or funding requirements.
- Maintain effective operational, HR, compliance and business systems.
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management, health and safety and relevant organisational policies.
- Support recruitment, induction, training and workforce development.
- Support budget monitoring, procurement and effective use of organisational resources.
- Contribute to business planning, service development and organisational growth.
- Help identify and develop new funding, commissioning, contract and partnership opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with probation, prisons, local authorities, employers, funders and community partners.
- Provide clear operational and performance information to senior leadership.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong experience managing staff and day-to-day operations.
- Experience of supervision, performance management and developing teams.
- Excellent organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Experience monitoring performance, budgets, contracts or funded services.
- Confidence managing competing priorities in a growing organisation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A practical, accountable and solution-focused management style.
- Experience within criminal justice, rehabilitation, employability, charity or community services would be advantageous.
- Experience supporting business development, organisational growth or commissioned services would also be advantageous.
Our Approach:
We believe people should have the opportunity to rebuild their lives following involvement with the criminal justice system. We particularly welcome applicants who understand the challenges facing people with convictions and the importance of rehabilitation and second chances.
Having a criminal conviction will not automatically prevent someone from being considered for employment. Relevant information will be considered fairly and proportionately in relation to the role.
