As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day works across various sites. You will ensure that work is carried out and completed to high health, safety and quality standards, delivered within the agreed time scales.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage Supervisors/teams on various sites
- Ensure work is carried out within Health & Safety and Environmental legislation, including client and company guidelines
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to understand the scope of works
- Carry out surveys
- Overseeing and checking site work, supervising productivity
- Organisation of the workload, labour, plant, and materials
- Manage work to RAMS
- Produce short-term programmes for projects and specific tasks
- Communicate delays to client
- Carry out and record quality checks
- Work to contract scope recognising change and highlighting variations
- Carry out site inductions and toolbox talks
- Communicate changes/updates to the client team
- Address RFI’s with client
- Collate Daily Record Sheets and issue to office
- Review weekly returns
- Assist with the tendering process
- Check targets, costs, progress, and variations
Ideal Candidate
- SMSTS
- NVQ Level 2 Drilling & Sawing
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- CSCS card
- Good Health & Safety awareness
- Good communication skills
- Temporary Works Coordination (optional)
- Hold a full UK driving licence
