We're looking for an experienced Quality & Compliance Specialist to become our in-house expert, taking ownership of quality and compliance across an exciting and ever-growing product range. As our business continues to grow, this is a brand-new role that offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact from day one. You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure our products meet the highest quality and compliance standards, while helping shape and continuously improve the way we manage quality across the business. From commercial catering equipment and workshop machinery to arcade machines, jukeboxes, hot tubs, pergolas and even fish tanks, no two days are the same. What You'll Be Doing
Own Quality & Compliance
- Take ownership of company compliance requirements, including EPR, WEEE, CBAM, Packaging Waste Regulations, ESG, supplier due diligence and ethical compliance.
- Lead product compliance activities including REACH, RoHS, CE/UKCA requirements, Declarations of Conformity, Technical Files, Safety Data Sheets, product testing and certification.
- Ensure compliance documentation remains accurate, organised and audit-ready.
Drive Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with suppliers to improve product quality and resolve compliance issues.
- Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Analyse trends and identify opportunities to improve product quality, supplier performance and internal processes.
- Help shape and continuously improve our quality systems as the business grows.
Stay Ahead
- Monitor changes in UK and international legislation.
- Act as our internal specialist, helping ensure the business remains compliant while supporting new product development.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within Quality Assurance, Product Compliance, Technical Compliance or a similar role.
- A good understanding of UK product compliance and quality processes.
- Experience working with suppliers and driving quality improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.

No Two Days Are the Same
One day you could be reviewing technical documentation with an overseas supplier, the next investigating customer feedback, improving product quality, supporting the launch of a brand-new product, or keeping the business ahead of changes in legislation. If you enjoy variety, autonomy and solving problems, you'll never be short of interesting challenges.
Working Hours & Location:
Full time - starting between 8.00am and 9.30am, and finish between 4.00pm and 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week with 30 minutes or 1 hour for lunch). You will be based at our modern offices near York (YO60 6PG) 5 days a week, so having your own transport is essential.
