What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Compliance Officer to provide recruitment compliance support across the organisation. In this role you will manage an individual caseload of compliance files, initiate and oversee compliance checks, and support candidates throughout the process, ensuring a positive and professional experience. You will guide candidates from offer acceptance through to their first day, delivering a smooth and supportive pre-employment experience.
The role involves close collaboration with the wider HR team to deliver a seamless recruitment and compliance journey for each candidate.

What will your duties include?
- Manage individual work stream of compliance files in agreed timescales
- Support candidates through the compliance process, engaging with them to ensure a positive experience and ensuring the candidate is aware of their necessary steps in the onboarding process
- Issue when required and, ensure references are received in a timely manner, and they are matched to CV history. Provide CV gap analysis where required
- Issue and follow up DBS checks, ensuring these are submitted in a timely manner to allow for the DBS checking process to be complete in good time for target start dates
- Arrange Occupational Health (OH) checks with our in-house OH service
- Complete professional registration checks (e.g. NMC pin)
- Update Applicant Tracking System (ATS), HRIS or similar records (e.g. – excel trackers) to keep compliance caseload conversion visible, accessible and up to date
- If required, prepare candidate’s file for Risk Assessment and present at the Recruitment Compliance Group
- Partner with HR Operations to maintain accurate caregiver compliance records and promptly escalate any compliance gaps to HR Operations and the Talent team.
- Other general ad-hoc HR admin duties as required
What we need from you?
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to handle high-volume processes in a methodical manner
- Attention to detail with regard to systems and reporting
- Demonstrable track-record of delivering high-volume compliance in a regulated environment
- Experience with ATS, CRM, or relevant HR system, ideally Workday.
- Recent experience delivering compliance in an acute healthcare environment, including knowledge of CQC requirements and expected standards of compliance
