Inspired2Care is expanding and developing an innovative, specialist residential service, and we're looking for experienced and passionate Senior Positive Behaviour Support Workers to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career, combining hands-on support with leadership responsibilities. You'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care while supporting and developing a team of Positive Behaviour Support Workers.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, Behaviour Specialist, wider multidisciplinary team and families, you'll help create a safe, supportive and empowering environment where the people we support can thrive.
You'll receive a comprehensive induction, specialist training and ongoing professional development within a supportive management team committed to excellence.
About the Role
As a Senior Positive Behaviour Support Worker, you will:
- Lead and support the day-to-day delivery of high-quality care
- Provide supervision, guidance and mentoring to Positive Behaviour Support Workers
- Promote best practice and lead by example
- Support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support plans, care plans and risk assessments
- Coordinate shifts and respond effectively to incidents and emergencies
- Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary professionals
- Contribute to staff development and maintain high standards of practice
- Help ensure the smooth, safe and effective running of the residential service
You will be supporting adults with:
- Learning Disabilities
- Autism
- Mental Health needs
- Complex needs
- Behaviours of concern
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Can motivate, mentor and support colleagues
- Has experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Understands safeguarding, positive risk management and person-centred practice
- Has experience contributing to care planning and personalised support
- Is organised, reliable and able to prioritise effectively
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is passionate about improving the lives of the people they support
Essential Qualifications & ExperienceOption 1
- Degree in Health & Social Care or a related discipline (such as Social Work, Nursing, Psychology or Occupational Therapy)
- At least 1 year's paid experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and behaviours of concern
OR
Option 2
- At least 3 years' paid experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and behaviours of concern
- Experience supervising or coordinating care within a residential or nursing setting
Desirable
- CPI Safety Intervention or MAPA training (full training will be provided if required)
