Job Title: Concrete Mixer Driver / Batcher
Location: Peterborough /corby
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime as required)
Job Overview:
We are a growing mini-mix concrete business seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Mixer Driver who can also batch concrete. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality concrete to our customers while ensuring safe and efficient mixing and batching operations. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the concrete mixer truck safely and efficiently, delivering ready-mix concrete to various locations.
- Batch concrete according to customer specifications and mix designs.
- Maintain accurate records of batching and delivery details.
- Ensure the concrete mixer is clean and in good working condition.
- Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the operations team and customers to ensure timely deliveries and address any issues.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in managing the quality control of concrete batches and deliveries.
- Overtime hours may be required based on demand and business needs.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and a up to date cpc card
- Previous a concrete mixer truck and batching concrete is preferred.
- Ability to batch concrete and adjust mix designs as needed.
- Strong understanding of concrete properties, mixing, and delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment, tools, and materials as necessary.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when required.
- Strong focus on safety and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
- Overtime paid as required.
