South Indian- Tamil and Sri Lankan restaurant in Harrow and are looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Front of House Staff to join our team.
The successful candidates will help create a welcoming dining experience for our customers and support the smooth running of the restaurant. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right applicants.
Main responsibilities
- Welcome and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately.
- Explain menu items, ingredients, spice levels and allergen information when required.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and other team members.
- Prepare tables, clear and reset tables during service.
- Process customer payments accurately using the restaurant’s payment system.
- Keep the dining area, service stations and front-of-house areas clean and organised.
- Respond politely to customer questions and resolve or report any concerns.
- Follow food hygiene, health and safety and company procedures.
- Support the team during busy services, including opening and closing duties.
About you
- Friendly, polite and confident with customers.
- Reliable, punctual and well presented.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Calm and organised during busy periods.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Previous front-of-house or waiting experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of South Indian or Sri Lankan food is helpful but not essential.
