We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Bar Person to join our team at The Derby Inn.
The role may involve working across two of our venues in Barrow-in-Furness, depending on business needs, so applicants must be comfortable working in different environments. Shifts will include evenings, weekends and busy event nights.
Main Responsibilities
- Serving drinks quickly, accurately and responsibly
- Providing friendly and welcoming customer service
- Taking payments and operating the till
- Preparing and restocking the bar before and during shifts
- Keeping the bar and customer areas clean and tidy
- Collecting glasses and assisting with general venue duties
- Following licensing laws and checking identification when required
- Supporting the wider team during private functions, live music events and busy trading periods
- Helping with opening and closing duties
What We’re Looking For
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is preferred
- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with customers
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Able to remain calm and organised during busy periods
- Flexible availability, particularly on evenings and weekends
- Willingness to work across two different venues when required
- A positive attitude and a good standard of personal presentation
Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to the nature of the role.
