Are you reliable, organised, and passionate about supporting healthy mealtimes for children? We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team and help ensure our nursery kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
In this role, you will work closely with our Cook and wider nursery team to prepare nutritious meals and snacks, maintain high hygiene standards, and support the overall catering provision within the setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of nutritious meals and snacks for children
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
- Wash up, organise equipment, and keep storage areas tidy
- Support with stock rotation and occasional deliveries
- Ensure food is prepared in line with dietary needs and allergy requirements
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen or catering experience (preferred, not essential)
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
